The Judiciary Section of Rio de Janeiro, SJRJ, in partnership with the Federal Justice Cultural Centre, CCJF, reopnes the Journal of the Judiciary Section of Rio de Janeiro. After a period of restructuring, the editors, consonantly with the requests of both authors and readers, launch this important edition, composed of eleven articles, at the same time the periodical receives, hereinafter, as an identifying mark, the name Auditorium. This word embrances the idea of debate, of an arena for discussion, which is intimately connected with democracy, citizenship, diversity and participation, that is, to the Democratic State of Law.

It is with joy that we publish the 42nd issue of this periodical, which will certainly continue to be of great importance to the studies on Law and its relation with contemporary political and social matters.
