DIFFERENCE IN THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CURRICULUM: IS IT POSSIBLE TO TENSION GENDER AND SEXUALITY BASED ON BNCC'S LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS?

Abstract

This article aims to identify and tensioning possible ways to (re)think gender and sexuality issues in the text of the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC, 2017), based on the rights of learning and development of Early Childhood Education: coexist, express and know yourself. We look at the idea of common, which not only refers to the title of the document, but also permeates the entire text of the BNCC. We observe the production of the erasure of difference under the pretext of equality of opportunity for all children in Brazil. We established a dialogue with authors from the theory of difference, curriculum and childhood studies, and we argue that the movement to (trans)see the BNCC is necessary, using lenses and tools that provide the mobilization of this document, keeping the difference in evidence in the relationships and school practices in early childhood education.
